11/4 Thursday - What is gym intimidation?

By: Coach Ray Traitz

For some of us going to the gym is the best part of our day. We feel better after we are done with a workout, refreshed, and ready for our day.

However, there is a part of our population that has difficulty with training in a social environment or interacting with people altogether.

These individuals would benefit the greatest from physical activity but have an issue with doing so in a gym.

Yesterday’s article points out some tips to help break the ice and ease such individuals into the gym setting.

Here are some tips:

  1. Come with a buddy

  2. Hire a personal trainer

  3. Change your perspective about the action of going

In our present-day such individuals can also benefit from virtual online training in groups or personal training. His will give them the opportunity to work out from in the comfort of their own home. In addition, build up their confidence to possibly head into a gym setting.

If you suffer from gym anxiety or intimidation then perhaps you can start with the online option…
